Maruah & Akhlak…..m/s 68 Tentang Cinta - Pahrol Mohd Juoi

Tapi igt, menjaga elemen dalaman bukan alasan utk membuang tudung. Kononnya, yg penting hati..Bukan begitu maksud sebenarnya. Spt memakai topi keledar juga. Ia tetap penting justeru bagaimana sekalipun kite berhati2, mematuhi undang2, kekadang terjadi juga kemalangan. Bukan disbbkn kecuaian kita tp kecuaian org lain. Waktu tu siapa yg bertopi keledar mungkin kurglah sedikit risiko menghadapi cedera parah atau maut.

you know your entry would make a nice bulletin post.

    i do agree most wholeheartedly.
some of my friends reply, when asked on why they are still sporting free hair, that they are ‘not ready’ yet, and that they will wear the tudung when the time is right. yang penting hati, that’s a common one too.

Allah has clearly ordained that a Muslim woman should always cover her aurat (note that this does not strictly mean ‘wearing the tudung’ but covering all of her body besides her face and two hands, so as to not give any impression of her figure). Whether or not we comply to His laws is subject to Allah’s judgement, but as the same with all other religious practices, we are to perform these duties with the obligation of a servant obeying his master.

It is neither a matter of choice, nor preference.

If a Muslim woman wears the tudung out of her own volition, for her love of her deen, and for her love of Allah, that is surely the best.

And if a Muslim woman feels that she already has a strong conviction in her faith, that her looks and appearance are irrelevant to her akidah because her heart strongly believes in Allah (yes, one cannot deny that what the heart believes in is of utmost importance), and that if she does wear a tudung, it will not be with a willing heart (ie, tidak ikhlas)… she should still wear one anyway.

There is a term - istikhlas - that describes this situation. Islam is not a forceful religion. Though wearing the tudung may be considered a hassle or a burden to some, practising it is a responsibility, because fundamental logic dictates that if a person claims to being a Muslim, therefore he or she must follow all of Allah’s commands. so even if wearing the tudung requires some taking used to, it must nevertheless be exercised without excuse. and the initial dislike, in time, should make way for acceptance and contentment with what Allah has asked for us to do.

Allah most certainly knows what is best for his servants.
I myself am aware of my many shortcomings, but we must all strive to be better. That is what being a Muslim requires of all us. And we owe it to Allah, to our religion, to try become the best Muslims we can be.

    wallahua’lam.
