Your lecturers are not superior to you. They are just born earlier than you so they have the benefit of having more experience.

You must acquire this mindset so that you can overcome the intimidation that you may feel when facing your very senior lecturers such as the lecturers and senior consultants in the clinical years. Lecturers have had many years behind them, and so it is all right if you are not as good as them.

Only God is great and no man is superior to another. We are brought to this world with different roles and achievements. Each of us has our own potential and our ceiling of achievement. What is important is that we all work to achieve the best that we could with what is given to us.

Once we are awed only by the greatness of God, other humans or worldly things will not fascinate us. This can prevent the feelings of jealousy towards others who have achieved more than we do. It is important to realise that you only strive for the life Hereafter rather than the current temporary life which no one has any control of as to the duration, which is all in the hand of God.
